Swim Lessons Update

Harlow is getting so brave in her swim class.  She loves to jump in on her own.  And now when she jumps in she can roll to her back on her own.  These are life saving skills that she is learning.  As well as a love for the water.  She also likes to jump in and pick up rings from the bottom of the pool with a little help from Dad.  She always pops back up above the water and says, "I did it!"  And her newest trick is to push off from the side of the pool and glide to Dad on her own, she even adds a few little kicks in there too sometimes.  She has learned how to hold her breath so much better.  She can do bobs up and down in the water.  As well as float on her back on her own.  She is becoming a little fish and always looks forward to swim lessons with Dad.  I think Dad is hesitant to put her in a preschool class because he loves doing the class with her so much! Her confidence is building and my confidence in her is building too.

We love Coach Susi, she is so patient with Harlow. All the coaches at Swim America are great but Susi is Harlow's favorite.  She has taight harlow for the last 2 1/2 years.  Grandma Lori has a great swim school!  Harlow loves getting to swim each week and getting to see Grandma!

Friday Phone Dump

Milestones, birthdays, Easter,  and St. George, Ut. We've been busy this week!

She is finally big enough to sit in her jumper.

Harlow can't seem to leave her alone when she is in it.

Harlow practicing her tracing.

We went to Maddox and Miya's birthday party at Skywalk.  Harlow loved it!

Patiently waiting to dye Easter eggs.

The finished product.

Baby sister happily sat by and watched all the fun. Maybe next year...

Harlow ate her very first Peep. Actually she ate two of them!

The Easter Bunny stopped by our house.

Jenn came for a visit before bedtime one night. And brought Harlow a birthday present!

On Easter Grandma Lori surprised the girls with a teeter-totter in her backyard.  Can you tell they loved it?

It was time to pass Sophie the Giraffe down to Lennox.  Harlow was not too pleased.

Harlow likes to steal Sophie back.  Even though she hasn't played with Sophie for over a  year!

Straight out of the bath and loving it!

We made a surprise trip to St. George for Grandpa Brent's swearing in ceremony as the new Chief of Fire in Washington City.

This girl is 4 months old today!

Harlow Emi - 3 Years Old

Harlow is 3!
Which means my journey to motherhood began almost 4 years ago.
Those years have flown by too fast.
I am so grateful for this precious girl.
She challenges me daily to be a better woman.
To be a better mother and wife.
She challenges me to be the woman I want her to become some day.
I think your first born always holds a tender spot in your heart.
She made me a mama.
And for that, I will always be thankful.
I feel so blessed to have such an amazing little girl in my life.

Harlow loves: Chocolate milk. Madagascar. The Lion King. Finding Nemo. Her small country of stuffed animals. Cousin Amelia. Gymnastics class. Dance class. Swim class. Riding her tricycle. Helping me bake. Strawberries. Chocolate. Sophia the First. Music. Books. Coloring. Playing under the kitchen table. Her blanket. Ice cream. Pirates. Playing pretend.

Harlow says funny things:
Anything instead of nothing.
Hold you instead of hold me.
Last day instead of yesterday or the other day or any day in the past.
This day instead of today.
Puinea Gig instead of Guinea Pig.
Headfore instead of forehead.
When I was young.
When I was a baby.
Busy instead of Dizzy.
E-chugger instead of each other.
Bemember instead of remember
I tooted in my mouth instead of burped.
Me three instead of me too.
Tooty Dragon instead of fart.

Harlow has the best memory.  She can remember small details from events months in the past.  She can sing along to all the top 40 songs on the radio. You can't tell her you're going to take her somewhere unless you are 100% positive you are going to follow through. She will hold you to it.

Harlow is: Shy. Quietly confident. Intelligent. Driven. Stubborn. Joyful. Sweet. Energetic. Sensitive. Imaginative. Timid. Playful. Cautious. Friendly. Perfectly and wonderfully made.

Harlow Emi Hafen.
I love you most.
