Sorry for the mass updates on my blog and my facebook. I finally figured out how to upload my pictures from my Mac. I go to the doctor again tomorrow, hopefully everything is going well. Now if only I could figure out why I can't walk by 8p.m.

Family Pictures & Christmas Cards

Merry Christmas Friends!

This past weekend, my sister-in-law came out to our house and took our family pictures. We're very lucky that Harlan Ranch is beautiful! ( And that Brianna is so talented. ) It made for some nice backgrounds in our picture. Too bad it was FREEZING!

Today I sat down and finally ordered some Christmas cards. I decided to go with Seehere.com because I could customize the cards as much as I liked. I chose the background design and then got to add borders, text, and as many pictures as I wanted. I also searched google for some online promo codes so I got the whole order for like $7. And the shipping was included in the promo price so I got to get them shipped to us in 2 days. Hopefully the finished product is as great as I'm hoping it will be.

If you don't get a Christmas card from us this year, I'm really sorry! These will have to do!

My wonderful and talented sister-in-law, Brianna, took some family pictures for us this morning. (And i've finally learned how to upload pictures from my MAC). I'll be sure to post more once they are edited. I'm too impatient to wait, I had to at least get one up here.

WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A BABY!

The secret is finally out!  Pete and I have known since i was 5 weeks pregnant but we've kept this secret to ourselves for the last 7 weeks.  I was terrified that i would miscarry and be devastated.  This week i am 12 weeks pregnant, we have already gotten to see an ultrasound and hear the baby's heartbeat.  it was amazing looking at the ultrasound for the first time.  i still cant believe that something that small can make me so sick!  

pregnancy and i have not gotten along.  I know its different for everyone but i sure am jealous of those who say they never got sick.  lucky, lucky you!  

telling our family was exciting.  we went camping with pete's mom, brother, our sister-in-law, his step-dad and stepsister and sister.  i was scared that i would get sick while we were there and wouldnt know what to tell them if they asked why i was sick.  so we came up with a plan to suprise them with the good news.  We missed Lori's (pete's mom) birthday because pete was still working in Virginia for the summer.  so we told her that we were late getting to the camp site because we were getting her present together.  we were really going into the doctor for our first ultrasound.  when we left the doctors office with the ultra sound we decided we would get her a mini photo album for her birthday.  we put the most random pictures we could find in our house in it.   pictures of all of our animals, wedding pictures, pictures of pete in mexico... and the last picture was the ultra sound.  we gave it to her around the camp fire on our first night camping.  i think i held my breath the whole time she was going through the pictures.  when she finally came to the ultra sound she stopped and screamed and jumped out of her chair!  it was an awesome reaction that we were hoping for :)  

When we got back from camping we got cleaned up and headed over to my parents house.  i told my mom i was going to bring my digital camera so she could see all my pictures from Virginia.  The last picture i took was a picture of the ultra sound with the words "SUPRISE OJICHAN AND OBACHAN" which means grandma and grandpa in japanese.  When they finally got the the last picture it got really quiet and they looked completely confused.  they were like is that for us?  ojichan and obachan is that us?  finally we said yes!  and finally my mom was like, you're pregnant!  

i dont think either of our parents were expecting it.  we always joke with them that we werent going to have kids for a loooooong time.  but suprise!  we are so excited!  pete swears up and down that its going to be a boy but i really feel like its going to be a girl.  (i think its just my wishful thinking for a gymnast and cheerleader like me ) :)  but either way we will be thrilled!  i've been told i cant really find out the sex of the baby until 17 weeks so we'll just have to wait it out for another 5 weeks.  oh the agony!  

when i figure out how to get my pictures uploaded from the Mac i'll post the ultra sound pic.

I'm getting a little homesick and restless. I go back to Fresno on Sunday though... back to the regular grind. gotta pay those bills i guess. I know i've been on a "vacation" visiting pete for the last month but i feel like i need a VACATION, somewhere fun and exciting and different and sunny and not so normal! i want to see something i havent seen before. At least i know for sure that once pete is done working the summer season we are going to Japan and hopefully Hawaii. I CANT WAIT!

i was just day dreaming about our last vacation to mexico. now that something i want to do again and SOON!

Pete and I took a break from Virginia and flew out to L.A. for their wedding. it was a nice change from the gross humid weather. i'm glad i was able to be there. i love weddings!

Instead of the normal sit down dinner with waiters bringing you your food, they had an In-N-Out semi-truck serving dinner! Pete was in love with it, and i do have to say it was a great idea and a nice personal touch. why didnt we think of that?

Celebrating One Year of Married Bliss!

This past weekend, Pete and I celebrated one year of marriage. Since we are in Virginia for the summer while Pete works, our choices of vacations was pretty slim. We chose to stay the weekend in Virginia Beach. Pete was in such a good mood, he agreed to stop at a mall and go shopping with me. WoW! Of course part of the reason was because he forgot all his dress clothes at home in California and had nothing to wear to Robin and Brad's wedding that is coming up next weekend. He did more shopping than I did for once.

When we drove into the city the weather was beautiful and sunny. Two hours later after we had checked in, there was a tornado watch and a huge thunder and lightning storm! Pete made the hotel reservations and had some cute surprises, like my favorite champagne and chocolates and rose petals scattered, seriously, everywhere! Very good touch, good job hubby! We went out to dinner right on the water that night. That restaurant had the best crab I've ever had in my life! The next day we did some walking around the boardwalk and then stopped to eat in a sushi bar before heading home. Wish the weather would have cooperated so that the beach would have been enjoyable.

On Monday when we came home we decided to try to go and grab some Thai food, we both love it. But... we got there and it was closed. So we found another option. Before dinner we went through some of our wedding pictures and remembered the day together.
