Denver Fair

This morning we went to the Denver Fair with Zach and Katie. I was a little surprised/disappointed that it was so small. For such a big city at least. But it was fun to get out and walk around. Harlow got to ride the merry-go-round and see a bunch of animals. She loved both.

She finally warmed up to it and smiled a little.




And by the end she was having so much fun she cried when it was time to get off.

We stopped and listened to a band playing.







And did some dancing with Daddy.




We looked at all the animals that were being entered in contests.


Saw some baby Alpaca's.


And some chickens.






And goats.




And some scary birds.




And then she got to go in the petting zoo.






They were actually feeding the goats and got swarmed and almost knocked over. Check out her face!

One Year

Cherry Creek National Park

I guess Colorado isn't all that bad. It really is beautiful here. I mean, at home when you drive down the freeway, you never see wildlife, mountains or nature. Here, even driving to the grocery store, is pretty. (Unless it's another thunderstorm kind of day.) This Sunday we went to Cherry Creek National Park about 15 minutes from where we live. Katie, who is Jeff's wife, found out that there was a huge dog park there. There were a ton of walking trails and even a creek that the dogs could run around and play in with it's own little beach. Katie, Jeff and their dog Dwight came along with Pete, Harlow, Buddha, Gus Gus and I. We spent about 2 hours walking around and playing in the water.

Harlow was so excited to see the water.


So off came all of our shoe and in the water we went.








Yes, even Gus Gus went in with us.

It was a pretty long walk from the car to the creek and Buddha was tired and hot by the time we got there so he just laid down in the water!

We had a ton of fun and I would like to go back again and explore the park a little more. But (thank God!) there are only 4-5 more weeks left of our stay in Colorado. So who knows what other activities we find to do.
