"Baff"

I think Harlow is part fish. She loves the water. And it doesn't matter what kind of water. From the sink, spray bottle, bathtub or pool. She loves it all. Which I'm sure makes Grandma Lori and Papa Rick very happy. They are partly to blame :) Today, I calmly asked her if she was ready to take a bath, and she whipped her head around so fast I thought she would get whiplash. She looked up from her toy box so fast. And then all I could hear was, "baff? baff? baff?" It is pretty cute to watch her get so excited about it. And she knows just what to do. She crawls right over to our bedroom door and as soon as I open it, she crawls right to the bathtub. She likes to bang on the side of the tub while the water fills up. And only stops once you put her in.

Talking Carl

If you ask Harlow to say "Cheese" to take a picture, this is what she looks like.

Playing with her Melissa and Doug stacking toys.

And her all-time favorite iPhone app - Talking Carl. He can make her laugh non-stop.

Walking... on Sea Legs :)

For the last 3 weeks Harlow has been attempting to test out her legs. She can walk, no, run, with her walker and she has recently started trying to walk without it a little. She is definitely a CHICKEN! Midway through her walking, I think she realizes she can get to where ever she's going a lot faster when she crawls, and will drop back down and finish her path by crawling. When she does walk, she looks like she's got sea legs, or is really dizzy. It's funny to watch her reactions. Below is a series of pictures of her walking:

I'm not complaining too much. I don't think I want to chase her anytime soon. At least anymore than I already have to.

Swinging

This morning we all went to a nearby park and had a family play-date. We haven't had much time for those lately so it was nice to do.

Harlow really loved the swings, and the slide oh and the horse. I love the look on her little face on the swings.

Colorado

We finally made it to Colorado on Monday night. We were greeted by rain rain rain. I thought I was having flashbacks of last summer in Washington. It was cold, dreary and dark when we arrived. I was not impressed. And then, the next morning we woke up to SNOW! Yes, that's right, SNOW! In MAY! Oh Mother Nature, what have you done?

Harlow and Daddy. We all woke up to snow covering the ground outside our apartment.

And then, later that same day, it only got worse!

We left Fresno in shorts, tank tops and flip flops. And now, Harlow is decked out in her winter gear again.

I can happily say that yesterday it was bright and sunny and warm. But today is overcast with rain in the near future.

Mother's Day

Since we were leaving for Colorado on Saturday evening, we went to breakfast with Grandma Lori, Papa Rick, Great Grandma B, Aunt Jessi, Uncle Nick, Aunt Brianna and Cousin Amelia. Pete has never been to Batter Up before so that was his request. We had a mini mother's day get together and goodbye breakfast all in one. And these are the only pictures I got. oops. :(

On Saturday evening we packed up and drove off to Utah. We made it about 2:30 a.m. and slept at Grandpa Brent and Grammy Rhonda's house. On Sunday we spent the whole day just hanging out with them. We even got to see Pete's grandparents and some aunts and uncles. We decided to stay the night again and drive the rest of the way to Colorado on Monday morning. Extending our stay in Utah for a little while longer. Which meant that I got to go to Tai Pan in the morning on Monday! Happy Mother's Day to me! I love that place! And while Pete got gas and breakfast before we hit the road, he dropped me off at Down East Outfitters Home store and I scored 2 pairs of Hudson Jean shorts for $60! Happy Mother's Day to me again!

The rest of the drive to Colorado was pretty uneventful. Well, except for the fact that we experienced rain, hail, sleet, snow, rainbows and sunshine the whole way. The weather was nuts. We could barely keep up with the changes. But we finally made it to Colorado about 8:30 p.m.
