We bought Harlow a pair of sunglasses (by accident, they never got taken out of the shopping cart) and she loves them. When you first put them on her she does a little Stevie Wonder head bop.
One afternoon I turned on the TV and college gymnastics was on. So of course I plopped Harlow down in front of the TV and made her watch. :) Gotta start her young! When the girls were on the bars doing giants she would say "weeeee" like she does when she is on the swings. so cute.
Harlow really loves the swings. Her facial expressions are hilarious. She looks like a gremlin in the last one.
We found an outlet mall about 20 minutes away and did some shopping on Sunday, (mostly window shopping because Daddy was with us haha).
About 5 minutes from the apartment in Colorado there is an outdoor shopping center, A lot like River Park at home but much nicer. We went for a walk and Harlow spotted all of the flowers. She loves flowers, just ask her. she'll say "fowers!".
Harlow and Pete are a lot alike. I have caught numerous pictures of them making the same facial expressions at the same exact time. I die laughing when I see them. This picture is the two of them enjoying a breakfast burrito.
On the road trip to Colorado, I was sitting in the backseat of the car feeding Harlow and she surprised us once again. I was singing her the ABC's and she tried to copy me. So I slowed it down and she got "ABC". She seriously learned to mimic it in like 30 seconds. And 3 weeks later, She can repeat almost all of the alphabet. "L, M, N, Q, and W" are still pretty hard for her to get.
Harlow can sign in ASL some words which makes it nice when she wants something. Instead of screaming for food, or milk she quietly signs it to us. Here is her signing "More food please" and saying "Mama".
Harlow and Buddha are becoming best buds. He is so tolerable of what she does to him. She can pull his face wrinkles, pinch his skin and poke him in the eye and he doesn't even flinch. But when she comes at him with her walker, he freaks out. He has no idea what's in for him once she is really mobile.
About 3 weeks ago Harlow started testing out her walking skills. Only a couple of steps at a time at first but now she is officially mobile.
More of her first steps.
I have been trying to teach Harlow how to do Forwards Rolls for awhile. And a few weeks ago she was trying to do them herself. It was pretty cute. When she starts to get frustrated she says "Hep" which means "Help".
Harlow loves to have tea parties. She learned how to pretend drink from her tea cup.
Harlow was quietly playing in the living room before nap time while I was reading when I looked up to see her cradling her baby doll and rocking it back and forth. I had showed her how to do this the day before by doing it to her, and then doing it to her doll. She caught on pretty fast. I tried to sneak a video of her but once she saw me she stopped. :)
Harlow walking even better. This was two days before she REALLY figured out how to walk.
Buddha and Harlow are good friends, but Gus Gus and Harlow are a totally different story. Gus does not trust Harlow and takes off running when she gets too close. But to my surprise she played with Harlow the other day. They played fetch and tug of war and Harlow laughed so hard. Baby steps to becoming friends... maybe...
