Easter Egg Hunting... at the gym :)

On Friday morning, Harlow had a quick Doctors appointment. She has had a cough for about 5 days but doesn't act sick, no fever. nothing. So we took her in anyway just to be safe. Doctor said her lungs are clear, her nose is irritated and she is just congested and most likely it's just allergies. Then I showed her the rash on Harlow's bum that we just can't seem to get rid of. Turns out she is allergic to her diapers and has Eczema. Why didn't I think of that? She has been allergic to one other brand of diapers before too. She now can't wear the Costco Kirkland brand AND Pampers. So now we are on to Huggies and so far so good. We got some medicine to clear up the Eczema and it is looking so much better just after a few days.

Then after her Doctor's appointment we headed over to Grandma Lori's swim and tumble school to meet the Easter Bunny and to have an Easter Egg hunt. She didn't really like the Easter Bunny but it was definitely less traumatic than the Santa Claus experience. She had a lot of fun hunting for eggs with Cousin Amelia. She got the hang of it pretty quickly too. Mainly because her favorite thing to do these days is to put toys in baskets anyway. So picking up the eggs and putting them in the basket was an easy concept for her.

NO BUNNY!

Amelia wasn't a fan of the Easter Bunny either.

Jenn was in town for a wedding and stopped by to say Hi to Harlow (and Pete and I).

And Terra came too!

Serious hunting.

During her gym class she never willingly goes through the Web, but for Easter Eggs... no hesitation.

Dyeing Easter Eggs

On Saturday afternoon we headed over to Nick and Brianna's to dye easter eggs with Cousin Amelia, Aunt Jessi and Grandma Lori. Harlow is pretty fun to watch interact with Amelia. She gets so excited when she sees her. She literally is yelling in excitment. They are going to be great friends when they're older.

I learned my lesson at Harlow's birthday. Babies are messy. When in doubt, strip them down. She was pretty much interested in the box that the dye came in more than anything else.

Someone didn't want to take a nap. She was a little crazy by the time we were done. She goes a little psycho when she gets really tired.

The finished eggs. Daddy did some tie dye eggs but they are hard ot see.

Daddy and Harlow trying to take a picture with the eggs. But Harlow thought it was a ball and kept tossing it and Pete had to keep trying to catch it. He missed one good throw... But hey, that was only one casualty out of a dozen eggs.

I only have one more Easter post. I promise. But who knows when it will make it's way up here. I'm tired.

The Easter Bunny Came to our House!

Harlow woke up bright and early this morning. I guess she wanted a head start on Easter. 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday! But we made her do her normal morning routine, and ours too. And finally after breakfast we showed her what the Easter Bunny had left her. Her very first Easter Basket. (we skipped the basket last year, she was only 3 weeks old)

But what can the Easter Bunny really bring a 1 year old? Who only has 2 teeth. :)

He brought her some Little People toys, some walking shoes (that are way too big. oops), a book, and some BUBBLES. He must have heard how much she loves bubbles. oh, and he brought some cadbury eggs... for mom. :)

She seriously loves Little People toys.

He left behind some bunny ears for her to wear too, which she loves to do.

She couldn't wait for us to blow some bubbles for her.

Thank you Easter Bunny!
