Easter 2013

I know I say it all the time but holidays are so much more fun with kids!  I love preparing everything before hand, thinking up things that I know they'll love and then getting to see their faces when they discover what was left for them.  I try not to go big on Easter.  Both girls got a small Easter basket.  In it were a few of their favorite things and one splurge on the Bla Bla Dolls they each got.  We got up on Easter morning and told Harlow she couldn't go downstairs until we were dressed and ready for the day.  My parents were coming over for breakfast to celebrate Easter and my Dad's birthday so we stretched out getting ready until they came over.  Harlow came down stairs and saw the Easter baskets and went to town going through what was inside.  Then we let her hunt for Easter eggs that were hidden in the living room.

Later in the afternoon we headed over to Papa and Grandma Lori's house for dinner and another Easter egg hunt.  Harlow, Amelia, and Frankie got to hunt for some eggs in their backyard.  And Grandma and Papa surprised them with a teeter-totter in their backyard for them to play with.  Maybe next year Lennox and Bennett will get to join in on all the fun a little more.
